Hi Chris
I just wanted to touch base with you, as I noticed an older resume of yours in our system.
Quickly, I would like to qualify myself to you. I have about 18 years in the IT recruiting field, most notably in the past 10 years in the Investment Banking and Brokerage domain. You may know my name from a previous firm(s), if not; I can assure you I have extensive experience in both delivering excellent results to both my clients and applicants. I look forward to a continuation of my history of matching the right candidate to the right position and vice versa.
Here we are in spring 2011, The start of winter we were pummeled with snow and ending with a pelting of rain and floods and northern snows..
Spring is on its way and seems to have started a rejuvenation of the job market. Sunday is supposed to be near 70 degrees.
Contract jobs have been somewhat plentiful over the past year, and finally, the perm market is starting to take a positive turn.. ..
Japanis on everyone’s mind, which only detracts from the instability in the mid east. Japan may be a bigger issue than most think, so if changing positions, this may be the time.. How will these two World changing events play out? If you think you know the answer, play the futures, as it will certainly move the markets one way or the other or both. This could be a major impact to the economy, short term it could hurt, in the long term it could bring a positive. (This is not to underplay the human tragedy that will be played out). If Japan has to move manufacturing of its cars to the US, it most probably will be to the USA. Do you realize that Toyota has more American made cars than Chrysler?
Although most electronic parts are still made in Japan… So almost all car manufacturers’ will be short cars this year..
The Markets have been better than they have in a long time. However, some people I have seen out of work for 2 years at this point (this is a true challenge for a recruiter, as company’s no longer pay fees for lengthy absentees), some haven’t missed a beat. Once great names in the industry have fallen by the wayside, others are re-emerging from the ashes.. So there are polar extremes in some cases two thoughts on how bad it is out there or how good. The one thing that seems to be a constant over the past few years has been uncertainty and lack of job security. Companies are not paying what they used to, and raises are not where they could be. This seems to be changing a bit. Downsizing is at an 11 year low.. Hiring is picking up, stock market is near 12K, 2011 may not be a great one, but things are starting at a better place than last year. I think over the past few years employers have taken the panic approach to employment (when things look good hire everyone, when things look bad, fire everyone). They may work in the applicants favor. This has put the gold watch theory in serious jeopardy (even silver ones are expensive) or at the very least made most people put their own objective well before the company
Now with that said, I want to get back to the main reason for the email intrusion.
You’re recent or past experience seems to have fit a position that I currently have open.
Actually, I have several openings for a mid to senior level PMO/ BA’s. I have a large client that is in need of people that come from a strong Risk background. Fixed Income / Credit would be a big plus. This is truly for a lead BA or a PM that leads BA’s that still will and know the BA process. The client is looking for a person that is truly energetic and well organized individual, with strong interface skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a person to work for a well known investment firm. This is for a major Investment Bank in Jersey City. This would be for a perm Position with a solid Base and long-term growth potential for an expanding area.
Absolutely no third parties for perm, also, I can not get H1 sponsors for this as well.
This is for an ASAP interview with confirmed job opening.
Also, this email is not intended to recruit any of our client’s employees, but rather as an email to inform them to keep an eye out for individuals whose contracts maybe ending or unfortunate individuals that may have been displaced due to the down economy. Please feel free to send over a copy of the resume and phone # of the person looking. (If you are caught up in one of the categories above, please feel free to contact me and I will see how I can help out)..
Sincerely,
Richard Attanasio
