Position Description

 

This is a junior role, where the candidate will be responsible for managing the overall resource and capital planning, budgeting, and forecasting process for Global Banking Technology (GBT) resources working in support of the Private Banking Group (PBG) portfolio of technology projects. Specific responsibilities include:

. Resource management, planning, and financial forecasting for the PBG project portfolio
. Project costing and time entry set-up and maintenance
. Requisition (headcount) management and tracking
. Interfacing with Project Managers on project costing, budgeting, and time entry
. Major expenditure request (MER) oversight and guidance
. Capital planning and expense management for PBG projects
. Project financial and ad-hoc reporting in support of the PBG Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
. Periodic project status and financial reporting for BU sponsors
. Management and understanding of PBG project allocations
. Monitoring of non-GBT manpower and capital budgets that impact PBG.

 

Skills Required

 

. Minimum 5 years experience in financial services, preferably at a large top-tier firm, focused on technology business management, financial management, with program management background.
. Solid grasp of cost accounting in a business management capacity
. BA or BS in finance, economics or computer science related undergraduate education
. Understanding of private banking products
. Good understanding of the systems development lifecycle (SDLC), and project management concepts.
. Excellent communication, and teamwork skills; ability to interface with senior management from both technology and business areas
. Strong written and verbal communication skills; detail oriented, organized, and analytical
. Self-motivated and can work independently as well as in a team environment
. Proficient with MS Office applications: Excel, MS Project, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint

 

Skills Desired

 

. Familiarity with the banking regulatory environment.
. Experience with Business Objects or similar business intelligence tools
. PMP a plus
