My direct client has an immediate need for Regulatory Reporting Application PL/SQL Developer
This position serves as the application support specialist for an U.S. regulatory/financial institutions reporting application; SOFTGEN Reg reporting 6.0.
This person will serve as the main support person for all U.S. regulatory reporting projects including production support, assisting business Users with all phases of the U.S. Regulatory/ Financial Institutions report filing requirements ensuring accuracy and quality controls are in place to deliver on a daily, weekly and monthly basis reports to various agencies such as the Federal Reserve Board,Federal Financial Inst Examination Council (FFIEC), CIMA, Cayman Islands
Monetary Authority (CIMA), Department of Treasury and other regulatory agencies.
This job requires extensive knowledge of U.S. Regulatory/ Financial Institution report filing specifically for the following agencies:
o Federal Reserve Bank (FRB)
o U.S. Treasury – International Capital System
o NY State Banking Department
Responsibilities include being the project lead for SOFTGEN Reg reporting application which includes:
Conduct business analysis for any new report requirements jointly with our
Controllers groupwho is responsible for all U.S. Regulatory/ Financial Institutions report filings.
Define project tasks and resource requirements including assembling coordinating project’s staff.
- Perform planning and schedule project timelines including vendor Management
| when working with external consultants.
Monitor quality assurance, track project deliverables and provide project
progress, problems and resolutions
Provide production support including Service Level Agreements (SLA), timely
report generation monitoring and batch interface support to the SOFTGEN reg report engine. Document, design, develop and maintain custom cross-functional requirements for reports
Experience/Knowledge
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
· Minimum 3 years (or more) experience in U.S. Regulatory/ Financial Institutions report filings
· Use of SOFTGEN reg reporting experience is a plus.
· Experience working with a bank’s general ledger application such as Oracle
Financials to create U.S. Regulatory is a plus.
· Knowledge of PL/SQL and Windows environment and SQL tuning
· Ability to lead, support and create business requirements for vendor so that
reports can be developed.
· Must be capable of supporting a 24 X 7, critical system production environment.
· Ability to work with various levels of business users, other IT staff and the
vendor to resolve business and systems issues in a timely manner.
· Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required
Required Skills/Abilities
o PL/SQL: Must be able to design and implement queries that can extract information from Oracle and MS SQL database needed to conduct analysis.
These skills are essential for the analysis of data from other application sources.
Ability to perform SQL tuning
o Management: Must be able to effectively manage Reporting projects, providing
guidance and advice for issues which arise during the lifecycle of a given
project, and delegate work effectively across other applications requiring data
feeds into SOFTGEN Reg reporting application.
Must effectively manage all projects
from start to finish, anticipating the risks or problems that may happen and
provide a plan to work around and/or fix any issues.
Must also provide regular
project status updates during the course of all projects during weekly project
management meetings, and also maintain up-to-date documentation.
